E/R:COVID-19: TOTAL SHUTDOWN EMINENT IF YOU FAIL TO COMPLY BY THE DIRECTIVES-MCE TO DRINKING SPOTS

 Honourable Owusu Twum-Ampofo, Municipal Chief Executive of Abuakwa North, has on Tuesday May 12th 2020, toured all drinking spots in the municipality to sensitise them on the novel Coronavirus precautionary measures to curb the spread.
Following the development in the Eastern Region regarding Coronavirus pandemic(COVID-19) and the directives of the President of the republic, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo in respect to the safety measures and protocols to be observed by the citizenry to fight the spread, all drinking spots in Abuakwa North Municipality have been directed to close at 8pm.The decision came after a meeting held by the municipal security council and the municipal health committee.

Honourable Owusu Twum-Ampofo cautioned all the drinking spot owners to observe the COVID 19 safety protocols instituted by the assembly or face total shutdown.

"We all need to stay safe during this COVID 19 pandemic moments, abide by the directives from the municipal assembly or face total shutdown of your spots." Honourable Owusu Twum-Ampofo warned.

Honourable Owusu Twum-Ampofo led a team from the municipal assembly and the New Tafo Akim District Police Command to embark on the sensitization programme.
